Renew a Driver License or Non-Driver ID

You can renew up to 1 year before and 2 years after your license expires without affecting the new document’s expiration date or required fees.
Bring with You:
- Completed MV-2 Renewal Letter (if you do not have this document, please fill out form MV-44)
- Current License or Proof of Name
- Must pass vision test
Expired Documents: If your license expiration has exceeded 2 years you will need to apply for a new learner permit.
License/Non-Driver ID Upgrades: If you are upgrading to a REAL ID or EDL, you will have to provide additional proofs of identity and residency as required for the license type you want. Please see REAL ID or Enhanced Driver License above.
Motorcycle License Renewals: If you have any other class combined with Class M or MJ (example: DM), an additional $8.00 fee will be added to the renewal cost.
